Al Batson

For this piece, I interviewed Kutztown local about his life. I befriended a kindly antiques salesman by the name of Al Batson who owns a booth at Renninger’s Farmers’ Market. Through various conversations, I was able to learn so much about him, and we are still good friends. I chose to use toned paper and chalk pastels for this poster, to convey an antique feel. The spot illustrations depict real people, places and objects, each of which tells its own unique story.
